More Centralized PM

This email went public today. I find this stuff interesting on several levels; but then I got this:

“As we move toward a more centralized model for product management in order to drive our key objectives, two key organizations will support these two ad marketplaces teams:…”

More on this. Centralized product management — especially if Yahoo! is committed, will start driving this seemingly “old” company to more success. They just need to make sure that the PM’s are central to the business, not just there because product management as a discipline is really catching on the age of everything being 2.0.

There are some important things of note with this concept, but it’s Valentine’s day still here on the West coast — so more on it later.
