I used to watch CNBC pretty much all the time when I would work out. Now that I don’t work out and have become a semi-blob, I don’t get to watch it anymore. In addition, each day before work, I’d turn on Squawk Box, to see what was goin’ on over night in business. Brad is right — Joe Kernen is freakin’ hilarious. I’m glad to see he’s anchoring now.
Then of course, you delve into the rich musical history that CNBC has with The Ramones. Closer to the end of his life, Joey Ramone was a pretty heavy investor. As the legend goes, he used to stay in his house all day trading stocks, which apparently, he got really good at. Yes, this is mentioned in the Wikipedia article.
While trading, Joey watched CNBC religiously to help him out. At the end of it all, he ended up writing a song about one of the anchors there. I give you:
